Gloria Laura was born in La Paz, she is an Artist, Knits, does all kinds of crafts and her Masterpiece so far has been Designing and Directing the Building of Hacienda Paraiso! She is a pet lover and loves gardening too.

Richard, (zoological, multiologist and more), a transplanted Long Islander living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Gloria and Richard met here in La Paz 25 yrs ago when Richard came to La Paz in search of some great big game fishing and fell in love with the worlds richest marine biosphere. He not only caught his share of fish, clams, etc. but hooked Gloria Laura along the way!

We began construction in 2000 and created our own personal paradise we call Hacienda Paraiso de La Paz, a uniquely beautiful, very Mexican styled sanctuary. After 5 years, our dream was completed. We decided to open our world as a B&B never dreaming that we would be tripadvisors #1 rated for the first 8  yrs!
